First day of 1st Grade

Introducing

Miss Abigail-Grace Kathleen

She arrived September 6th at 3:27pm. We had to induce her before she was convinced it was time to come out! The labor was hard. I spent the majority of the morning stalled at 2 cm dilation. Around 2:30pm they broke my water and that was enough to convince her it was time to come out and play! She was sunny side up. After we got her repositioned, all it took was a few pushes and she was here!
She is my smallest baby. Her little body is slim and seems so fragile compared to my beefy boys! I am loving every second holding and cuddling her. She is a great baby so far. She loves to eat, but also loves to sleep. She sleeps 5 hours at a time at night! (something else I'm loving ;) )
The boys are adjusting well to their new sister. Ryan is so proud of her and Drew loves to give her kisses! Abigail is a very special addition to our family! Jay and I still find it hard to believe we've been blessed with our little girl!

Nothing yet

Well I was due yesterday and she is stilll cozy and comfy it seems. At my last appointment I am 2-3 cm dialated. So it seems she working on making her way but nothing yet! I have an induction scheduled for Sunday if she decides to make us wait that long. Wish us luck!!!!

Happy Birthday Ryan

Ryan turned six last Sunday! Another birthday has come and gone and I can't believe my little baby boy is 6! We had a great birthday weekend! Ryan's Grandma Barb, Grandpa Hoss, cousins Kaleb and Kaden came down to visit! We went to the NASA space center in Houston. The boys had so much fun! After the space center, we drove down to the beach for an evening swim. The water was great and we all enjoyed the cooler weather! We had a mud fight and a treasure hunt!

We got a new dog! He was abandoned on the side road and we decided to bring him home. Ryan and Drew LOVE him. This is our 3rd stray we've taken home, looks like third times a charm! We've named him Turbo because he runs through the house playing with the boys!

33 weeks

Getting ready for Abigail Grace ....
I thought I'd share my pure excitement at a few simple things in life:

It's my very first laundry basket full of pink clothes!!!

All work and no play....

So it seems that Miss Abigail Grace is working very hard with little results! On Friday I began having contractions. I did all the stuff they say to do, drink water, rest, lay on your left side. She was determined though. So off to the hospital we went.
Contracts were 3 mins apart with just enough intensity to make me uncomfortable. After lots of labs, ultrasounds, cervical checks, and IV's all her hard work was not paying off. I was only 1cm dilated and 25% effaced. One lab came back guaranteeing us she wouldn't deliver in 14 days. So with that the docs gave me some meds to stop the contracts and sent me home later that night. Since then I've had daily contractions, but nothing organized. I'm exhausted and STARVING! (last night I ate two steaks, eggs, potatos, and pasta....in the span of an hour!!!)
I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, and hopefully all this discomfort will mean she's made a little bit more progress. I'm ok if she holds off until 35 weeks (the end of July) but if this continues I'm hoping she'll make an early apperence!
Thankfully, family is in town so I've got lots of help!!!!
Kind of sucks having all this discomfort knowing there is little results! Here's to hoping all this drama isn't related to her personality! :)

In fact, we missed the announcement. We watched the Golf Channel all day and then as I was fixing dinner Drew decided to go on a climbing exhibition! He climbed all the way up the back of our dinning room chair and fell straight back, the chair falling on top on him as he hit the ground. It busted his eyelid open and we packed up and headed to the ER. He is doing great and just needed two stitches to close it up. He's back to his Capt. Destructo ways! :) Here is a picture of it this morning. He looks so proud doesn't he! ;)

We had a lot going on this week. First, Ryan has completed Kindergarten and summer has officially begun! Then we had our friends come visit for the week and have had lots of fun. Last, the baby's nursery is painted and ready for furniture! The reality of her arrival has hit me! :)
